DR Congo Leader Kabila Sacks 3,000Civil Servants. (BBC)
The leader of Congo, Joseph Kabila has sacked almost three thousand civil servant workers from across its ministries and government outfits. The president sacked some hundred people from the ministry of finance and other ministries for alleged corrupt practices. Others were also forced to on retirement after the president found out that they were far due for retirement but still occupying their positions.
The Minister for Budget, Mr. Michel Lokola says the move was made to help the government fight corruption. Promotions have been given to some thousand five hundred officials to take over from those who have been given the boot.
