Confirmed reports reaching us from Kano say multiple bomb explosions have just gone off around Bayero University Kano. Sporadic gunfire is also heard around the old site of the university.
We are unable to confirm casualty and extent of damage at this point. Spokesperson of the Kano Police could not be reached for comments as at the time of this report.
