National Assembly Gives USA Seven Day Ultimatum on Terror List. (Vanguard)
In light of the failed Christmas day terrorist attack by a 23 year old Nigerian man, the United States issued stricter searches on Nigerian nationals travelling in and out of the US and also added the country to its terror watch-list, this action however has not been welcomed by the federal government of Nigeria. Diplomatic relations between the two countries is experiencing some tensions. Nigerian senate yesterday gave a seven day ultimatum to the United States to strike Nigeria off its watch-list.
Nigerian officials also blamed the United States security for the lax in security which led to the failed attempt. Nigerians refuse to take the fall for Mr. Abdulmutallab’s actions. Nigerians will not stand being criminalized for the action of one man
